The Royal Irish Yacht Club is one of Ireland’s leading yacht clubs, with some 1400 members. Founded in 1831, the clubhouse is the first purpose-built yacht club in the world. The building is now a listed structure and retains to this day all its original architectural features combined with state of the art facilities for sailors both ashore and afloat. The club looks out onto Dun Laoghaire Harbour and Dublin Bay and the town of Dun Laoghaire is within walking distance.

Dun Laoghaire Harbour is celebrating its bicentenary this year and remains one of the largest man made harbours in Western Europe. It has been described as one of the finest artificial harbours in the world.

We look forward to welcoming you to our club and hope you enjoy the racing!
